Roger was one of the SWAT team members in Dawn of the Dead. After show boating and acting like an ass on a run he ended up getting bit. This was the first time I remember someone being taken by the bite. Actually we saw this in Night of the Living Dead with Karen, but since she was in the basement for most of the movie her turning was sort of a surprise. With Roger we got to see the slow decline into sickness and final resurrection. Since he was an adult, and had a good idea about what was coming, we also got to see what his reaction to the sickness was from beginning to end. It was horrible. It was uncomfortable to watch and it was as hard on us as it was on the survivors.
