About

zombieMike

Let me tell you how crazy I am when it comes to Zombies.

Pretty much every time I go into a place I imagine what I would do if zombies attacked. I know how nuts that is but it’s also kind of fun. It turns everywhere I go into a source of terror and adventure. I love it.

Who am I?
Mike Kloran, an Educational Designer and teacher living in Japan. Most of my design work focusses on cute flashcards and worksheets for teaching English and helping people master languages. It’s a lot of work but also a lot of fun. Doing that sort of work is really satisfying but it’s important to have a little variety in my work and stay playful.

In this case I decided to take my love of zombies and turn it into this blog and later a children’s book. So have fun, hang out and feel free to drop me a line or a comment any time.

  1. Hi Mike,
first off I think your blog is awesome.
Secondly I’m writing a zombie story for an AS level English piece at college and I wanted to reference your blog in my bibliography as research I’ve done for my genre. Is that ok? If yes please could you let me know how to reference your blog appropriately? : )

    1. Hi Sophie,

Thank you so much for saying that. It’s totally ok to use my blog as a reference. I’m honestly horrible at writing references on papers though so follow the standard format your class is using. For information to list, I think my name: F Michael Kloran and the title of the Blog Surviving The Dead are good. You might want to include a link to the blog in case your teacher wants to check it out to be sure it’s a real thing.

      Hope that helps!

      Good luck!

  2. Hi Mike. My name’s James. Just wanted to say how much I love your blog. Really a lot of good info about zombies and your images are amazing. I hope you don’t mind but I borrowed one for a post I did about Dead Men Working in the Cane Fields. I credited you and posted a link to your site in the caption. Let me know if there is anything else I can do.

You can check out the post here: alligatorsandaneurysms.wordpress.com

    1. Hey James.

Thanks for the compliment. I’m really glad you like the zombies I’ve been posting here so much.

And thanks for sharing the link to your post and especially for the credit. Some people never even bother to do that much.
