The Dead Have Issues

This is a great webcomic I came across recently. The title obviously plays on “issues” as in comic book issues and I’m looking forward to seeing how that play on words works out for the characters.

The artwork is pretty satisfying though I respond more to the colors than the line work. Some of the characters’ noses seem a bit odd to me but then my characters don’t have noses at all! The colors and textures are really nicely done though and remind me of the colors I see in reprints of classic EC comics from back in the day. Added to that the story moves along nicely and I already like the characters and the way the panels are arranged for each issue.

I’ll keep an eye on this one and come back to it a bit later for another review. Until then, check it out for yourself by clicking here.

From the site:

The Dead Have Issues is the brain child of illustrator/designer Lutz A.D.

So, who is this Lutz A.D. guy? Well, besides being a full time Graphic Designer and a freelance Illustrator, he’s also been a contributor to the underground punk scene for decades. He’s played in various bands and toured throughout a multitude of countries – art has always been the nexus of his existence (I hope all these fancy words make me sound smart). Lutz A.D. has also been a comic book and horror fanatic for much of his life. This comic is his love letter to the bizarre and will hopefully be the first of many – read the Synopsis here. So check back often and be sure to tell a friend! Cheers!
