The terrible thing about looking at great art is then wanting to make art just like it. As a student I would go to a gallery and see amazing Caravaggio’s and immediately want to paint like that. Then I’d look at Corot and think I wanted to paint like that. But bringing all those styles together and finding your own voice is the ultimate goal.
I got that great feeling and inspiration when I came across these illustrations by Ryan Brown. They are without a doubt my favorite illustrations right now.
