I posted earlier about having been sick for a while. It’s still going and it’s really a pain in the backside. One cool thing is that I got this X-ray of my ribcage. It was a chance for the doctor to check me out and make sure it wasn’t a case of pneumonia, which fortunately, it’s not.
It’s also a creepy look at things I never see. Thats my ribcage!! I never want to see my spine or my weird clavicles or . . .is that my heart!! Sheesh.
How do you feel looking at skeletons? For me they have always been the most fascinating things especially in a historical sense. When you see a real skeleton being brushed off by archaeologists and you think, that was once a real roman person or post-roman era Briton, or Canadian settler, American farmer or whatever they may have been it creates this amazing connection to the past that we feel but which is also so vague and undefined.
Looking at myself I can only imagine what archaeologists would think if they dug me up a thousand years from now. What would they guess about me or measure from my bones? It’s a thought for the day.
