Want me to turn you into a zombie?

true love

Ok, so you love zombies, Halloween, and the Walking Dead. Have you pictured yourself in the apocalypse? How do you see yourself? A tough survivor? A hermit? A scavenger?

How about a zombie?

While you’ve been thinking about how to make it through the zombie apocalypse, maybe in the back of your head you’ve secretly been thinking of the very real possibility you won’t make it. That you’ll end up on the streets wandering about searching for flesh and brains.

Well I’ve been kicking this idea around for a bit and I’ve decided to offer five people the chance to get turned into zombies here on Surviving The Dead.

HOW IT WORKS:
Send me your picture – myenglishimages@gmail.com
(subject line, make me a zombie)
I’ll draw you as a zombie and mail you back you the picture.

That’s it. It’s easy and hopefully fast!

By entering you allow me to use the image here on the blog and for future promotion.

  1. Hey Manny,

That’s a great question. Actually I haven’t had any response at all. Not a single person has contacted me wanting to be turned into a zombie,

I think this is more about me not connecting to the people who are interested more than the lack of interest though. (I kind of suck at social media.)

For a great example of someone doing just what you’re looking at though check out:

It’s got some pretty fun images.

  2. Hey Mike, great blog. I’m curious as to what the response has been like for your offer to turn people into zombies. I recently started a zombie/cultural studies blog as part of an independent study that I am conducting at SUNY Buffalo State, and one of the very first things I was drawn to discuss was the weird sort of phenomenon where people actually want to be zombies (or at least pretend to be). The opportunity to be artistically rendered as a zombie would seem to operate on the same impulse. Why do you think people are so much more interested in being portrayed as the monster as opposed to the hero or, perhaps more appropriately, the survivor. I’d love to hear back from you and maybe do a post featuring your blog.

And feel free to pop in and check mine out. Eatpreylimp.blogspot.com
