At first I wasn’t quite sure what to call this guy but what else could I call him but Dale’s walker. He is, as with most good zombies, just a regular run-of-the-mill sort of thing but we get a real sense of him as a character through a few subtle hints. He was bit on the arm, turned and started wandering which we know from the injuries on his body. He appears to be a country boy from his clothes, or lack there of not to mention showing up on Herschel’s farm plus he had a sweet goatee in life.
In death however he got stuck in the mud becoming a mudder who Carl decided to play with until OF COURSE he got free and went after Carl. Lucky for that main character he escaped (surprise surprise,) but the zombie turned up again later to chomp down on Dale. This lead Carl to have all sorts of feelings of guilt about why he didn’t kill the zombie right from the get go and what it means to take responsibility for something that honestly wasn’t his fault. He’s a kid after all and it would be unfair to blame him for being curious about the walkers.
Still, as regular zombies go, this guy was really fun to see popping up here and there on the Walking Dead, even if he did chow down on one of our favorite characters.
