Tammy

Tammy
Fido is this sort of offbeat zombie comedy that never really seems to deliver. The preview looked brilliantly funny and the whole idea of a rockabilly zombie flick where the apocalypse took place in the 50s really seemed great. But the wild ride and laughs promised in the preview just never seem to manifest. Despite a great cast and a fun premise it just never holds up. Tammy’s character is the sort of stand-in for 19050’s literary sensation Lolita who at the time was a shocking and socially revolutionary sort of figure. She is seen in this film as the zombified version. Not the young nymphet of Humbert Humbert’s fancy but the zombified stand in any “well-read” man of the 50’s would desire.
